Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ will inguarated by Jakie Chan!.

Vijay’s previous films have been flunking down terribly at box office and he has decided to make powerful movies from now on. The first will be ‘Kavalkaran’ that in no way will be the same as his previous film and the next one if ‘Velayudham’.

The sources closer to producer Aascar Ravichandran have left a buzz that Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan will launch the film at Nehru Indoor Stadium. We aren’t sure about this fact as the actor may or may not attend the occasion.

Last time Aascar Ravichandran had nearly spent Rs 4.5Crores for audio launch of Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam. Since, there haven’t been any big releases from Vijay or Aascar Ravichandran; it looks like the plans maybe quite bigger this time.

'Kaavalkaran' starred again!..

'Kaavalkaran' starring Vijay and Asin, directed by Siddique of ‘Friends’ fame, has hit a rough spot, it is reliably learnt.

Initially, the film was supposed to hit screens on June, but got delayed as due to the marriage of Siddique’s daughter and the fact that Vijay had to leave abroad as per his scheduled vacation, then the film's release was postponed to July.

Caught in between Vijay’s tour and Siddique’s daughter’s marriage were Asin’s call-sheets. The actress, who had given bulk dates for her third film with Vijay, is now busy shooting in Sri Lanka for her upcoming Hindi film opposite Salman Khan. This has now further delayed the shooting of the film ‘Kaavalkaran’ by a further couple of months.

According to the sources Asin, who is scheduled to return to Chennai in August, would start shooting for ‘Kaavalkaran’ only at that time. Finding no other go, Siddique has decided to restart the shooting in August, as Vijay also is said to be very intent in kick-starting his 51st film ‘Velayudham’ directed by Jayam Raja. Source:KT

When Vikram was roped for this project, there was a buzz that Vijay was under consideration but Seeman had denied it. However, with the project now shifting hands from Bala to Kalaipuli S Thanu, it looks like Vijay will play the lead role.

Saranya Mohan to stare with Vijay

Saranya Mohan is going to play Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s sister in his new Jayam Raja directed Velayudham. This Malayalee girl rocked as heroine in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, and became popular all over Tamil Nadu by doing a jewellery ad with Prabhu playing her father.

Now playing Vijay’s sister will give her a new reach. The underlining sentiments in Velayudham is Thangachi Paasam (sister sentiments), an ingredient which has worked big time for Vijay in Tirupachi.

In the Perarasu film another Malayalee girl Malika played Vijay’s sister, and got a lot of recognition.

Meanwhile the buzz is that in Velayudham, which has Genelia and Hansika as two heroines, the pivot around which the film revolves will be Saranya Mohan’s sister role. Recently along with the two leading ladies, Saranya took part in the photo-shoot. Source:Sify
