Angelina Jolie to quit acting

Actress Angelina Jolie is considering giving up acting to focus on her home and children.

The Mr and Mrs. Smith star, who raises six kids with partner Brad Pitt, said: "It (acting) is not the most important thing in my life. Acting helped me as I was growing up. It helped me learn about myself, helped me travel, helped me understand life, express myself, all those wonderful things. So I'm very, very grateful, it's a fun job."

"It's a luxury... But I don't think I'll do it much longer. Because I have a happy home... I got back from work last night and everybody was playing music and dancing, and I suddenly found myself dancing around with a bunch of little fun crazy people," she added.

The actress has several projects lined up including a big-screen adaptation of Patricia Cornwell's popular Kay Scarpetta novels. So far she has completed filming The Tourist with Johnny Depp. Source: Hindustan times

‘I don’t see a wedding dress’ -Shakira

While Lady Gaga says she’ll never have kids, Shakira says she might never marry fiancé Antonio de la Rua.

The ‘Hips don’t lie’ singer has been dating the son of Argentine ex-president Fernando de la Rua for the last 10 years. They were engaged in 2001.

“No, I have no plans to get married. Ever. There’s something romantic about being someone’s girlfriend forever. I like the state that I’m in,” Shakira tells News of the World.

“I definitely plan to have children but I don’t see a wedding dress anyway.”

Apparently, the pop singer ruffled de la Rua’s feathers with her new “Gypsy” video in which she stars alongside tennis player Rafael Nadal.

“It’s not his favorite thing in the world to watch that video. But it’s my job and part of what I do.

“I’d known Rafael for a while and thought he’d be perfect for this video. And he was. It was his debut as an actor. He was really easy to work with and we had a lot of fun. Even though he’s good-looking, he’s very humble and not full of himself at all.”

Freida Pinto to stare in Hollywood Flick!.

Freida Pinto has been cast in the upcoming 'Planet of the Apes prequel' Hollywood flick.

The actress will be starring opposite James Franco in the new movie, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Reports claim she will be playing a primatologist called Caroline while Franco will play a scientist. The movie is set to hit cinemas in June next year.

Pinto, 25, is best known for her role as Latika in the Oscar-winning movie by Danny Boyle.

She is now dating her co-star in the film, Dev Patel.

Kim Cattrall rejected `SATC` role for 3rd time!.

Kim Cattrall says she rejected the part thrice because she did not think she could pull it off.

The actress had turned 40 when she was offered the role in the TV series, based on the lives of four best friends in the Big Apple, a news daily reported.

"I turned it down three times. I`d just turned 40. Or was it 41? Oh, who cares? Whatever age I`d turned, I thought, `I can`t do this. I can`t pull it off.`," said Cattrall.

"I felt that way because there had never been a character on TV as free as Samantha, and for an actress it can be quite daunting to play someone who has no fear of doing exactly what she wants, when she wants, and with whom she wants. But then I remembered something Jack Lemmon once said to me, `Kid, if something scares you, you should do it.` So I decided to take the part," the actress added.

The 53-year-old star, however, does not like the term cougar, a woman who seduces younger men.

Cattrall, who has been married and divorced three times, may have helped coin the term through her sex-addict alter-ego but it offends her.

"That`s predatory behaviour and I don`t consider myself a predator. I feel that I`m the pursued."

The actress feels that playing a character who wants everything on her terms has had a positive effect on her own life.

"I don`t have to pretend to be someone I`m not any more. When I went on dates when I was younger, I always showed the person the side of me I thought they wanted to see. It was more about pleasing the man than about what I wanted. These days I`m much more relaxed about that stuff," said Cattrall.

When Bullock played the guitar

Actress Sandra Bullock surprised the audiences at a fund raising concert for flood relief when she played the guitar there.

Usmagazine.com reports Bullock stunned the crowd as she pulled up a stool, whipped out an acoustic guitar across her lap and played rock band Deep Purple's song 'Smoke on the Water', in Nashville, Tennessee.

'They say a community is only as strong as its weakest link. And from where I stand, I see no weak links,' Bullock told the crowd.

The fund-raising concert was organised by actress Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw, a benefit concert aimed to raise $2 million for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee in response to the flood in early May that caused $2 billion in damage. Source:Sify

Russell Brand’s sweetheart Katy Perry hurted herself while dancing at a nightclub and has got 17 stitches in her right leg.

The ‘Hot n Cold’ hitmaker was rushed to a hospital in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday after she was hurt while partying after the Much Music Video Awards.

Perry was photographed wearing a bandage on her right calf during a promotional performance in Toronto on Tuesday. But, the brave lady joked about her accident on Twitter, "17 stitches later... Don't make fun of my dance moves tomorrow. That's what got me here in the first place! Thanks for the souvenir, Canada."

Radcliffe stuns 'Harry Potter' co-stars with singing skills

Hollywood actor Daniel Radcliffe stunned his 'Harry Potter' co-stars during a recent karaoke party with his singing skills.

The actor, who plays the lead in the wizard-fantasy franchise, has been taking vocal lessons since signing up for a Broadway production of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' that will hit the New York stage next year, reports express.co.uk.

'I love karaoke. I am one of those people (who says), 'No, no, I can't, I couldn't possibly, no I won't... All right, give me the mic!' And then I'm elbowing other people out of the way to get to the stage,' said Radcliffe.

The 20-year-old admits that he was delighted showing off his new talents during the night out with the cast of the movie.

'(I sang Elvis Presley's) 'Hound Dog'. And then I did 'Feeling Good' by Muse. That was my proudest moment, because I actually did that rather well. I was really pleased, because I can sing. Lopez, Cruise not teaming up for ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has laughed off reports that she is likely to join 'Dancing With The Stars' with actor Tom Cruise next year, insisting they are both too 'busy' to take part.

The competition came to an end last month with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger lifting the trophy.

The producers are said to be courting several big names to join the line-up for the next season, and Lopez and Cruise are the latest stars to have been linked to the show following their dance skit together at the recent MTV Movie Awards.

Contactmusic.com reported that Lopez is adamant they will both are too tied up next year to contemplate a stint in the TV contest.

Kylie Minogue wants to study again

Pop singer Kylie Minogue wants to sign up for a university course because she didn't get the chance to study after school due to her acting career.

'There's a bit of me that wishes, even fantasises, that after finishing school I went to college and embraced a more academic route but I was straight out working,' express.co.uk reported Minogue as saying.

The 'All I See' singer says that she may give up her career to study at university.

'I do sometimes feel that I could go down that route. What's to say I don't end up doing a stint at New York University? A lot of people do it and there's that part of you that feels dissatisfied and is yearning to be fed. I would study photography. I would love to study art history,' she said.

Minogue, who is dating model Andres Velencoso, wants a scholar companion who can teach her.

'My ultimate, ultimate, ultimate fantasy would be to have a scholar companion. Someone always by my side to teach me, like in those movies about the Roman Empire. Maybe I should put out an ad, 'Wanted: Scholar. Someone who knows everything about everything. Must be prepared to travel',' Minogue said.

The 42-year-old started acting at the age of 11 and continued after finishing school. She shot to fame at the age of 18, when she bagged the role of Charlene in Australian soap 'Neighbours'. She also launched a successful pop career with hits like 'Locomotion'.

"Originally I was supposed to take off my shirt in the movie. The script said we were walking into school and (my character) Willy takes off his shirt. Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has revealed she is currently selecting new acting roles and insists her previous cinematic flops shouldn't count against her.

The singer, who shot to fame after appearing in Australian TV serial drama Neighbours for three years until 1989, is currently considering offers to return to the big screen and doesn't believe her previous flop movies will stop her achieving cinematic success this time around, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I have a deep desire to challenge myself with that again. As a 'pop star', I've created this world for myself, and it becomes very natural to stay inside of it, but I'd love to do some independent films. It's still very early, but I'm in the process of choosing between specific parts," she added.

Despite her worldwide success, the hitmaker insists she is still ambitious, but never likes to let people know what she wants to achieve next. "I have big ambitions, but I'm really quiet about it. What's that saying? 'Never let people know how much you know'," she said.

Taylor Swift Spends Almost 15 Hours with Fans

Many stars claim to love their fans, but if there is one who deserves to be taken at her word, it’s Taylor Swift. The Grammy winner spent nearly 15 hours schmoozing with fans and signing autographs at Sunday’s CMA Musical Festival, meeting some 2,000 of her fans.

The event, which was held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and was originally supposed to last 13 hours, was extended by nearly two by the singer so that more fans had a chance to meet her.

Swift’s fans decorated her with bracelets and wrote numbers on her arm to mark the number of hours she spent at the signing.

“It’ll be interesting to see how many numbers I have at the end of the night,” Swift said. “It’s so much fun because they’re all so nice and they say really sweet things. I’m so proud of my team for putting together an event that was exactly what I had in mind.”

Aniston denied on going nude in 'Horrible Bosses'

The reports that Jennifer Aniston would shed her clothes for her role in the upcoming comedy movie 'Horrible Bosses' are incorrect, says her representative.

The 41-year-old plays a racy role opposite Colin Farrell in the film and would do nude scenes, reports aceshowbiz.com.

'The part is provocative and sexual, but also hysterically funny. There are no plans for her to go fully nude or topless, but the role does require an aggressive sexuality that many folks have not seen from Jennifer on screen before,' Aniston's representative said.

Pattinson fearing to die in 30!

Hollywood hearthrob Robert Pattinson is convinced he will die by the age of 30 because he has already achieved so much success at a young age and fame would one day cost him his life.

The British actor landed a part in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' when he was a teenager, but shot to international stardom in 2008 when he was handed a leading role in the 'Twilight' franchise.
