'Kaavalkaran' starred again!..

'Kaavalkaran' starring Vijay and Asin, directed by Siddique of ‘Friends’ fame, has hit a rough spot, it is reliably learnt.

Initially, the film was supposed to hit screens on June, but got delayed as due to the marriage of Siddique’s daughter and the fact that Vijay had to leave abroad as per his scheduled vacation, then the film's release was postponed to July.

Caught in between Vijay’s tour and Siddique’s daughter’s marriage were Asin’s call-sheets. The actress, who had given bulk dates for her third film with Vijay, is now busy shooting in Sri Lanka for her upcoming Hindi film opposite Salman Khan. This has now further delayed the shooting of the film ‘Kaavalkaran’ by a further couple of months.

According to the sources Asin, who is scheduled to return to Chennai in August, would start shooting for ‘Kaavalkaran’ only at that time. Finding no other go, Siddique has decided to restart the shooting in August, as Vijay also is said to be very intent in kick-starting his 51st film ‘Velayudham’ directed by Jayam Raja. Source:KT

Aishwarya Rai upcoming with Brad Pitt?

Actress Aishwarya Rai, has turned down an opportunity to act in a Hollywood film featuring internationally acclaimed Brad Pitt. The actress has earlier acted in Hollywood projects like the Pink Panther 2, Mistress of Spices, The Last Legion etc.

So why was this Hollywood project not good enough for the famous beauty? Aishwarya Rai Bachchan assured the media the reason of her rejection saying "I am currently tied up with my Bollywood projects and I am not rejecting the film and it's just a time issue."

Ash discussed how her hectic Bollywood schedule doesn't leave her time to do justice to any Hollywood projects that come her way.
However sources say that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also uncomfortable with the intimate scenes that she would be in for the film. The top actress has rejected a chance to appear with Brad Pitt previously in the film Troy.

"I am not comfortable doing those intimate scenes with Brad Pitt. There are lots of kisses and explicit lovemaking scenes, which I am not comfortable at all," said the beauty queen back then.

Aishwarya have also refused doing other Hollywood projects like Hancock and Seven Pounds. In fact, the Hollywood director Brett Ratner wanted to cast her in Rush Hour.

Siddu’s 180 with Red Camera

Siddharth’s bilingual film ‘180’, to be directed by his mentor Jayendran is all set to hit the floors on July 8th. This film will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil with Priya Anand and Nitya Menon opposite Siddharth. Jayendran claims that ‘180’ is his first directorial venture. He says that he has 25 years of experience in making ad films from which he had learnt lot of things and thus enabled him to write this story. According to him ‘180’ does not belong to thriller genre but is a romantic flick in Siddu’s style. “I’ve enough knowledge on technical aspects of film making since it was our banner that introduced DTS to Indian cinema. We are going to shoot ‘180’ with Red Camera”, says Jayendran. Balasubrahmaniam will handle the camera while Sarath, the music department.

'Ich' Movie on Location Stills

Ich, the tentatively titled next movie of Prabhu Deva,Starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead produced by Kalpathi.S.Agoran is currently shooting for the first schedule at Paris with a 36 member crew

As per Prabhus Ich script 90 percent of the film will be shot out of the country at never seen before locations like the French Riveria. The remaining 10 percent is expected to be shot indoors at Chennai.

Sonia Agarwal acts in 'Pandiya Perarasu'

Sonia Agarwal and ace director Selva Raghavan were granted divorce officially on March 2010. They were romancing for a while and got married later in Dec 2006. After 3 years of marriage, lot of problems caused their hearts to part ways.

But their families maintain cordial relationships even today as they keep meeting often.

Recently, Kasturi Raja seems to have approached Sonia to play a prominent role in his upcoming film 'Pandiya Perarasu' that has Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Raj Kiran, Ramya Krishnan and Kota Srinivasa Rao in lead roles.

When approached, Kasturi Raja said,
"Yes, it’s true that I requested Sonia Agarwal to perform an important role in this film. And she too has accepted the offer. The reason why my son and Sonia Agarwal divorced was, she was unable to follow the dreams of Selva who always leads a life which is full of dreams.. But we still share a good rapport…The film will go to floors soon"

It’s worth mentioning here that Selvaraghavan had recently tweeted that he should have restored his marriage.

Perhaps one of the most avid smokers in reel life is someone who smokes in real life as well - Manisha Koirala.

She never bothered to hide her smoking habit or partying ways.

An obscure picture of actress Manisha Koirala, smoking on her wedding day, is attracting loads of unwarranted attention online.

"Is she smoking on her wedding night? I can't stand for her," posts a user anonymously on a website where the picture was posted.

"She is a chain smoker... I feel sorry for the guy who married her," says another user.

Meanwhile the actress's fan who defends Manisha from critics saying, "It's her personal life and she is not smoking in the public. Why can’t people comment on Salman’s drinking and Shahrukh’s chain smoking. After a stressful marrige day, Manisha might be just relaxing having a cigarette." Source:KT

Trisha memorable of Manmadhan Ambu shooting

Hot Beauty Trisha is loving every moment of shooting for her new film 'Manmadhan Ambu', directed by K S Ravikumar starring Kamal and Madhavan in lead roles.

Two days back, the unit of the film which was shooting in Paris went to Monte Carlo and joined a cruise.

The ship which reminds you of Titanic is huge with three decks and with the crew including the lead pair Kamal and Trisha has set off on the cruise where the major part of the shoot is taking place.

Trisha says: “It's an awesome experience and enjoying every moment of it.”

What is Mani Ratnam's next?

Mani Ratnam badly in need of rest and nothing is going to compensate with his health. The filmmaker had a very tough time while filming his trilingual film ‘Raavanan’ and that could have been the reason letting buzzes open that it was his associate directors Azhagam Perumal and S.S. Stanley completing few portions.

There are more mixed reviews for the films and the box office collections are proving to be good at certain standards while poor in B and C centres. Meanwhile, there is a news spreading from Mani Ratnam’s office that he has got 3 scripts: one Simbhu to be shot in exotic foreign locations and another one for Dhanush tentatively titled as ‘Pookada’ and the final script, a big bang action packed thriller drama.

The biggest question is that whether he will be directing this film or else just produces it for his proteges or some of the ace filmmakers.Source:KT
