Sonia Agarwal acts in 'Pandiya Perarasu'

Sonia Agarwal and ace director Selva Raghavan were granted divorce officially on March 2010. They were romancing for a while and got married later in Dec 2006. After 3 years of marriage, lot of problems caused their hearts to part ways.

But their families maintain cordial relationships even today as they keep meeting often.

Recently, Kasturi Raja seems to have approached Sonia to play a prominent role in his upcoming film 'Pandiya Perarasu' that has Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Raj Kiran, Ramya Krishnan and Kota Srinivasa Rao in lead roles.

When approached, Kasturi Raja said,
"Yes, it’s true that I requested Sonia Agarwal to perform an important role in this film. And she too has accepted the offer. The reason why my son and Sonia Agarwal divorced was, she was unable to follow the dreams of Selva who always leads a life which is full of dreams.. But we still share a good rapport…The film will go to floors soon"

It’s worth mentioning here that Selvaraghavan had recently tweeted that he should have restored his marriage.

Perhaps one of the most avid smokers in reel life is someone who smokes in real life as well - Manisha Koirala.

She never bothered to hide her smoking habit or partying ways.

An obscure picture of actress Manisha Koirala, smoking on her wedding day, is attracting loads of unwarranted attention online.

"Is she smoking on her wedding night? I can't stand for her," posts a user anonymously on a website where the picture was posted.

"She is a chain smoker... I feel sorry for the guy who married her," says another user.

Meanwhile the actress's fan who defends Manisha from critics saying, "It's her personal life and she is not smoking in the public. Why can’t people comment on Salman’s drinking and Shahrukh’s chain smoking. After a stressful marrige day, Manisha might be just relaxing having a cigarette." Source:KT

Trisha memorable of Manmadhan Ambu shooting

Hot Beauty Trisha is loving every moment of shooting for her new film 'Manmadhan Ambu', directed by K S Ravikumar starring Kamal and Madhavan in lead roles.

Two days back, the unit of the film which was shooting in Paris went to Monte Carlo and joined a cruise.

The ship which reminds you of Titanic is huge with three decks and with the crew including the lead pair Kamal and Trisha has set off on the cruise where the major part of the shoot is taking place.

Trisha says: “It's an awesome experience and enjoying every moment of it.”

On Kamal Hassan, the actress says: “It is great fun and informative working with Kamal Sir. I admire his intelligence and knowledge on any subject under the sun”. Madhavan is joining the cruise this weekend. Source:KT

What is Mani Ratnam's next?

Mani Ratnam badly in need of rest and nothing is going to compensate with his health. The filmmaker had a very tough time while filming his trilingual film ‘Raavanan’ and that could have been the reason letting buzzes open that it was his associate directors Azhagam Perumal and S.S. Stanley completing few portions.

There are more mixed reviews for the films and the box office collections are proving to be good at certain standards while poor in B and C centres. Meanwhile, there is a news spreading from Mani Ratnam’s office that he has got 3 scripts: one Simbhu to be shot in exotic foreign locations and another one for Dhanush tentatively titled as ‘Pookada’ and the final script, a big bang action packed thriller drama.

The biggest question is that whether he will be directing this film or else just produces it for his proteges or some of the ace filmmakers.Source:KT

When Bullock played the guitar

Actress Sandra Bullock surprised the audiences at a fund raising concert for flood relief when she played the guitar there.

Usmagazine.com reports Bullock stunned the crowd as she pulled up a stool, whipped out an acoustic guitar across her lap and played rock band Deep Purple's song 'Smoke on the Water', in Nashville, Tennessee.

'They say a community is only as strong as its weakest link. And from where I stand, I see no weak links,' Bullock told the crowd.

The fund-raising concert was organised by actress Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw, a benefit concert aimed to raise $2 million for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee in response to the flood in early May that caused $2 billion in damage. Source:Sify

Katy Perry gets 17 stitches in leg

Russell Brand’s sweetheart Katy Perry hurted herself while dancing at a nightclub and has got 17 stitches in her right leg.

The ‘Hot n Cold’ hitmaker was rushed to a hospital in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday after she was hurt while partying after the Much Music Video Awards.

Perry was photographed wearing a bandage on her right calf during a promotional performance in Toronto on Tuesday. But, the brave lady joked about her accident on Twitter, "17 stitches later... Don't make fun of my dance moves tomorrow. That's what got me here in the first place! Thanks for the souvenir, Canada."
